May is just around the corner and that means the next installment of the CMBA book club. This time we’ll be tackling Business and the Buddha* by Lloyd Field. I think many CMBA readers started their creative businesses to focus on more than just profits. If that’s the case, Business and the Buddha is a must read – it focuses on creating a business that focuses on human and environmental reads as well as profits.
To help you stay on track, I’ve created a suggested reading schedule which breaks the book into manageable chunks.
Just like with Made to Stick, I’ll be writing some posts here on Crafting an MBA to help you apply the principles in the book to your own business.
And as always, we’ll be continuing the discussion on the book club blog. But this is where I need your help! I’m looking for contributers to the book club blog to help create a livelier and more well-rounded conversation. There’s no pressure – if you contribute you can post short thoughts or longer commentary as the mood strikes you. And of course, everyone will be free to comment as always.
If you’re interested in contributing, you can email me at megan(at)craftMBA.com. Hopefully there will be lots of discussion here and on the book club blog!
